Boys Junior Varsity

Welcome to the boys JV tennis program!

Tryouts/experience

You don't need any experience to join the team! We don't have a B-squad for boys tennis, all are welcome to join the JV team. High school tennis is open to 7-12 grade students. If you are in middle school and looking for more of a challenge, please join us!

Equipment

All you need is a tennis racquet! However, if you don't have one let us know and we can help out. But what you might want:

• Racquet

• Tennis shoes (not just sneakers or running shoes)

• Sun glasses

• Hat

• An awesome water bottle

Each player will receive one orange (home) and 1 white (away) tennis shirt.

Season

The season runs from March 23rd 2026 to May 9th 2026.

Practice

Practice is held from 3:45 to 5:45 every day we have school (even on Friday's), unless we have a match.

3:15: Mariner & Central early release

3:15: High School Regular Day

3:30: Warmup

4:00: Match starts (depending on the away team's arrival)

6:00: Approximate match end time

Away matches

2:20: High School & Central early release

2:30: Mariner early release

2:50: Bus leaves from the parking lot near the tennis courts facing Bald Eagle Ave.

3:00: Mariner pickup at the main office door A

3:45: Arrive at away courts

4:00: Match starts (sometimes we start ealry)

6:15: Approximate time back to high school. No drop-off at Mariner
