Winter in Minnesota is long. These indoor facilities are where players keep their games sharp from October through April.
One of the most important junior tennis institutions in the state. Founded in 1952, InnerCity Tennis uses the sport as a vehicle for youth development and serves roughly 6,000 young people each year. The facility is open to everyone — you do not need to be part of a program to rent court time.

Junior programs:
Super Saturdays — Free drop-in junior program, ages 3–18. Saturdays, 3–5:45 PM. No cost, volunteer-coached, no registration required for younger kids.
Cities Academy — Year-round competitive development program for committed junior players. Scholarships available.
Summer Tennis in the Parks — Outreach programming at Minneapolis public parks.

A standout public facility in Fort Snelling with a specific mission of making tennis accessible to youth across the Twin Cities — particularly underserved players. One of the most affordable options in the metro.
What's there: 8 courts, structured junior programming by age group, summer camps, tournament group for competitive players

Ages 5–10 — Fundamentals, basic strokes, footwork using age-appropriate balls and court sizes
Ages 11–14 — Rally development and competitive play
Ages 15–18 — High school track: tactics, technical skills, and competitive play for players on or aspiring to make their school team

One of Minnesota's longest-running indoor facilities, tucked into the Railroad Island neighborhood. Offers league play, lessons, and drills. Some of the top players in the metro play here regularly. Note: club membership has historically had a waitlist, so walk-in court time can be limited — worth calling ahead.
